Okanagan Lake is 169 kilometers (100 miles) long from Penticton in the south to Vernon in the north with Kelowna situated in the middle. The lake has countless beaches where you can sunbathe, take a dip or enjoy a beautiful sunset. Central Okanagan has an average of 2000 hours of sunshine every summer,with an average maximum temperature of nearly 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit). It is not uncommon for the temperatures to reach mid to high 30 C. The evenings are generally cool.
